Mirarada Gathering for Rank Promotion

 
    We hope this letter finds you and your family in the best of health and having the safest of Holidays.  For several months we have been anticipating writing and sending this letter of invitation. 

    On Saturday, March 9, 2019, Mirarada Escrima Academy (MEA) will be celebrating over 38 years of instructing Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), in Stockton, California, making it one of the oldest schools, at the same location.

    We are also honoring Grand Master Art Miraflor, it is his 50th year of training FMA in Stockton, California, he began training with GM Angel Cables in 1968. Both these events call for celebration, and to complete this event we will be combining it with a, “Mirarada Gathering”, to promote former and present students, to their rightful ranks.

    This is the first Rank Promoting Ceremony MEA has done. So, we have reserved a night at, Stockton Christian School, at 9021 West Lane, Stockton, California on a Saturday, from 1:30pm to 4:30pm.

    The Mirarada Gathering will be a casual business dress event, no shorts, t-shirts, or tennis shoes, please. The itinerary will include: flag ceremony, a demonstration, awards ceremony for diplomas of ranks, and include finger foods and non-alcoholic drinks. This is an invitation event only, please RSVP if you will be attending and the number of your family and friends, who will be attending with you. The deadline to make a reservation is, February 23, 2019. Please reply to this email.

Attached you will find three pages of rank information.

• First, you will find the Proposed Revised Rank Structure for MEA 2019. This has been revised to reflect the latest in our system and, includes cost information.
• Second, is the Qualification of Rank form for MEA 2019*^. You will use this form if, you so desire, to receive a certificate for what you are qualified for. Please fill it out to the best of your ability. The ultimate decision will be made by the MEA Board.
• Thirdly, is the Qualification of Rank Application for MEA 2019*^. Everyone is asked to fill this application out if you are applying for rank, so your certificate will have the proper information on it.

    First you will fill out the application and wait to see what rank you will qualify for, than you will pay only for that rank at that time.  If you have questions about cost, rank qualification, or logistics, please call me.
